Hey Kansas Pastors,

We look forward to a really great time this next Monday Evening @ 6:00pm for our KBBF Christmas Dinner.  Our church is thrilled to host this time together and we have secured the finest caterer in our town to prepare a delicious meal.  We will have a bit of music and a brief time of inspiration.  Our new chairman, Dean Hughes will have a few words as well.  We anticipate a lot of fellowship in the midst of all of this.  Feel free to dress casual for this event.

Please make the drive over to Hutch this Monday night.  It is important that we have a good representation of pastors so that we can be organized, motivated and elevated for the coming year within our KBBF.

Dear Kansas Preachers:

I sincerely hope that you are enjoying the blessings of God upon your family and ministry.  It is welcomed in my office that summer is over and more importantly, the summer travel season of my members is over.

We want to make several announcements about upcoming meetings.  First, please consider coming to one of these fellowship & prayer dinners.  We will have private meeting rooms at both places.  Everyone is responsible for their own dinner.  Please bring your wife and your staff members are welcome as well.

Secondly, we have received this note from BBC President Mark Milioni:

Baptist Bible College would like to invite the BBF churches in the state of Kansas to a very special meeting this fall. On Nov. 7-8, 2016 we are inviting several states to join us for regional Mid-America Baptist Bible Fellowship meeting here on the campus of Baptist Bible College.

Several special speakers are lined up including Dr. Jimmy Draper.  This looks like it will be a wonderful conference and It will be a blessing to be on the campus of BBC.  Note: November 8th is Election Day so it would be advisable to take advantage of advanced voting.

August - St. Louis Meeting

Hello Pastors:

Dr. Keith Gillming in St. Louis, MO hosts a wonderful conference each year in late August.  I have been to most of these meetings and they have always been worth the effort and expense.  This year the keynote speaker is Jonathan Falwell, pastor of Thomas Road Baptist in Lynchburg, VA.  In an act of kindness, the host church is announcing there is no registration fee.  The host church provides all our meals while we are there. I am inviting and urging all the Kansas pastors to go along to this meeting.  Several of us are talking about traveling together.  We would meet in Topeka on Sunday Evening (Aug 28) and travel to St. Louis together, arriving late.   We would also leave as the conference concludes at noon on Tuesday (Aug. 30) and arrive back in Topeka by evening. Everybody would be responsible for their own lodging.  The church has arranged for us to stay at the Crown Plaza hotel (very nice) for $110 per night.

Please e-mail as soon as you can about your interest as we are arranging the travel details.  If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Due to the funeral of Jerry Byars, the meeting Tuesday in Topeka is cancelled.

The Monday night meeting and meal beforehand are still on. Also, you can still get the rate at the hotel in Topeka.

If you are planning on coming for the meal on Monday, please contact Dean Hughes to let him know (they need to make sure they have room set aside at the restaurant).

Services for Jerry Byars will be on Tuesday 4/12 @ 11:00 A.M. Visitation from 9:00 - 11:00 at Overland Park Baptist, Overland Park, Kansas, 11648 Antioch Rd.

Pastor Dean Hughes also wants to add this information: if anyone would like to come Monday night and have dinner with us, we will meet at the El Dorado Mexican Grill, 3627 SE Croco Rd # 101, Topeka, KS at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11.  We will pick up the tab for any pastors that wish to come.
